RE: Window leak question
Some windows have an applied gasket -similar to weatherstripping- glued to the window assembly.
Ours had two windows where the gasket was not properly aligned and did not seal at the window corner.
I just removed the window, loosened and repositioned the gasket and applied contact cement to keep it there before reinstalling the window. Easier than towing it down to the dealer and I know it got done right because I did it myself.
This is exactly what the problem was. The gasket at the top right corner was not in the correct position and very little if any touched the side of the trailer. I repositioned, put the window back in and ran water over it two different times and neither time showed any leaks. It leaked very easily before when I ran water over it. I feel it's fixed and I'll keep an eye on it after the next few rain showers we have.
If I were you I would go as fast as I can and let the dealer fix it. If you fix it and you find wall dammage later they could blame you. It's under warranty so do yourself right and let them handle it.

If I had taken it to the dealer I would've spend $150 in fuel because I would have had to take it, leave it, and then pick it up, plus it would have wasted two Saturdays. Doing it myself took 1/2 hour, that's it.

Window leak question
I have a 2008 Jayco 22FB. After camping over the 4th I noticed water on the floor by the bedroom window after a rain. After getting it home I sprayed the window with the hose and noticed water leaking between the wall and floor under the window. My dealer is 90 miles away so I called to talk about me looking at it before taking it to them. They had no problem with that at all.
It's the emergency window that is leaking. I know you take the window out by removing the inside screws and I see it has foam on the outside. Does it have silicone or some other sealer besides the foam? I just want to know how it's all sealed before removing the window.

Inside diameter E-Z Hose Carrier
Can someone tell me if the E-Z Hose Carrier is bigger in diameter than 4" plastic sewer pipe? I bought the RhinoFLEX hose and the end won't fit into regular 4" pipe. I want to make sure it will fit into the E-Z Hose Carrier before I order it.

Nice job. I like the "sbebenelli" handle as well, I like the one I have and has been flawless in the duck blind! Do you have the 1 series or the 2?
I have the 1 series. Very well made. Used for turkey hunting. I never have done much duck hunting.

Added counter extension w/pictures
I have a shelf in my bedroom for the TV that matches the counter. I ordered one along with the brackets from the place I bought my camper. It came directly from Jayco and I was told around 4-6 weeks. I received it in 3 weeks. The price for top and brackets was $39.59 + shipping. I personally figured it would be higher so I was happy to pay it.
I made a frame work that the screws would go into since the end of the cabinet is very then plywood. This framework in attached to the end boards of the cabinet. I took a picture....it might be hard to understand what I did but it is very very solid, and no chance of pulling the plywood from the cabinet since it is only held in with staples. Please note that their are screws missing because I wasn't done when the picture was taken. They are in now :W

Food sticking on grill
I have a Weber Q, I preheat it and stick the food on. When I go to flip it the food will be stuck on the grate. Should I not preheat or spray something on it? What's the trick of not having the food stick to the grill grates?

Stabilizer jacks - how tight?
My new Jayco has scissor style stabilizer jacks. Without much effort I can have the tongue jack not touching the ground. How snug does the stabilizer jacks need to be? My previous TT had a different style jacks and I just tightened them down good. It would never raise the camper up like these scissor style.

The first time I backed a trailer was when I got my license at the age of 16. My dad let me borrow the jon boat. It just seemed like I knew how to do it. I never struggled that day and haven't had much trouble since then with any trailer. I don't know if it's because I paid attention to dad while he did stuff like this because it has seemed to always come natural to me.
I always see posts on here about help backing up and I have always wondered why people struggle with it.

How did you get starting in RVing?
I thought it would be interesting to see how everyone got started RVing and what the average age is on the board.
I'm 35, while growing up we never had an RV. My parents took me tent camping twice. I was younger at the time and I remember both times like it was yesterday. I'm not sure why but I have always wanted a travel trailer. I had never been around one. Last year we bought a new Jayco Jay Feather 197. It didn't take me long to realize I should've gotten bigger. We used it all last summer and traded for a Jayco Jay Flight 22FB in January. I just love the RV lifestyle. I think about it all the time and look at this board daily. I can't think of much that has affected my life as much as RVing. For the most part we go on weekend trips to a state park that is 15 miles away. My family doesn't understand what would be so enjoyable about going to the same place every weekend. It's just a very enjoyable atmosphere. Stress free.

Weber updated the Q 100
Just a heads up that I received a new Weber Q 100 today and it will accept the slim propane tank and now it also will accept the fat ones. It no longer has the wire support and the instructions list being able to use both style tanks.

I went to the Home Depot there and picked up a small white vinyl track and RTV'd it to the TOP ledge of the tub from end to end
This is what I was going to do. What department is this vinyl track in? What is it used for? I'm just not sure where to look for this once I get there.

I want to thank everyone who replied. I made a complete turnaround and just ordered a Weber Q. I've seen tons of positive comments about it and that is what I was always going to do until I had the thought of the electric grill. I'm just not sure if electric is for me.

I was think about buying a Holland electric grill and was wondering if anyone uses an electric grill? The pros and cons of electric. I thought not dealing with charcoal or gas would be nice.

Battery charger used on Jayco
I've read several times that if you leave your TT plugged in it can over charge the battery if it doesn't have a good on board charger. My question is how do you know what kind of charger is being used. I have a 2008 Jayco 22FB. Does anyone know if it will over charge the battery?

How much benefit with MaxxAir and only 1 vent?
I have a 2008 Jayco 22FB and it only has one vent in the bathroom. Is there a benefit using it while the camper is not being used to help keep the air circulated? Will just one vent do anything with the rest of the camper closed up. The reason I'm asking is I'm thinking about getting a MaxxAir so I can leave it open but wonder if any benefit is there.
